Standing forward (Uttanasana)


Uttanasana helps to ease your mind, works on the nervous system and generates the feeling of calmness and peace. It balances the sacral chakra and gives the power to control emotions.  This pose is done by bending the knees slightly from the core and hinges forward from the hips by placing the hands towards the front or by the side of your feet. Perform this pose for few breaths or even for the longer period. If you are suffering from low blood pressure, take some time from coming out of this pose.  You would find all the worries melting away from your head and you would feel happy and satiated from inside and outside.

ThunderBolt (Vajarasana)


This pose has a calming impact on your mind and body and is also best for the digestive system. This pose is done by sitting on your knees. Keep the cushion between the sit bones; retain the length in the spine, and cross the hands in front of the chest. Feel connected with the breath and find how quickly your mind continues to slow and calm down. Remain in this pose for ten breaths and you would feel you are relieved of tension and stress. Try out this pose before going to bed at night; you would have a great and a restful sleep.

While in this pose you would feel like you are on a vacation, relaxing near the sea. It would help you open through the hips, groin and inner thigh. You would also hold tension and stress-free. As you support the floor beneath you can surrender yourself to the moment and practice the art of letting go.

Eagle Pose (Garudasana)

This pose requires you to focus on the mind and concentrate on to a single point, which is the best stress management tool. It can help you to free yourself from tightness from the shoulders and hips which are common to get relief from emotional tension.

Paschimottanasana (Two-Legged Forward Bend)


It is a forward bend pose which needs flexibility towards the back, abdomen, and legs, and this is a reason it is not considered as one of the best poses for beginners but if you are flexible you can easily do it. Paschimottanasana helps to ease and prevent back pain by building the flexibility of the muscles.

There are many yoga poses but by adopting the yoga principles, Yamas and Niyamas, you can find changes in life. It is also secret to happy and healthy living. For instance, Niyama also known as Santosha principle teaches the value of contentment, Agrigrapha makes the people less greedy and the Shaucha principle cleans the mind, which ultimately makes our life restful and extremely beautiful.
