SARMs such as Ostarine and Ligandrol are well known for their effectiveness in users. Many users will report incredible gains, such as building 15-30 pounds of muscle, and even losing 10-20 pounds of fat, in just 3 months or less, guaranteed.
But what does this mean for us? How do we decide whether Ostarine or Ligandrol is better?
In this article, I will aim to answer some common questions surrounding these topics, such as:
- Ostarine vs. Ligandrol Results & Dosage
- Which is Best For You
- My Experience with Both Ostarine & Ligandrol
- And More
So, read carefully. Depending on your goals, one or the other SARM may be best for you… and with this in mind, let’s get started.
Ostarine, otherwise known as MK-2866 or MK 2866, is a common Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM) which is used to build muscle and gain a ton of strength. In fact, so much research has been done on Ostarine, that many believe it should be used for cancer patients suffering from muscle wasting effects.
But, just what is Ostarine? How does Ostarine work? Is it the right choice for you, and your goals? Let’s see what the research says.
First off, Ostarine is known for its incredible results. In fact, on my Ostarine, Cardarine, and Ligandrol cycle, I gained upwards of 18 pounds of muscle, and lost 7 pounds of fat in the process.
Most of the muscle gain and strength gains however, I attribute to Ostarine. Many users believe their Ostarine results are incredible, and almost everyone who gets on a cycle of Ostarine builds an incredible amount of muscle in a very short period of time.
The typical Ostarine dosage is between 25mg and 50mg, although no studies have been done to confirm the efficacy and/or safety of dosages above 50mg per day. Most users start off small with 25mg per day, and work their way up.
For my Ostarine cycle, I took 25mg each day, plus 10mg of Cardarine and Ligandrol, first thing in the morning. I did this for 90 days, and had great results, so I definitely think my Ostarine dosage was a good one, at least for me.
Ostarine Side Effects
While some users claim that Ostarine can decrease night vision, it is believed this is due to them simply buying fake Ostarine. Many companies will bottle dangerous pro-hormones, which are highly liver toxic, and will market them as “SARMs” to scam you.
This is why it is so important to get SARMs from a good, high quality retailer. I personally got mine from Proven Peptides, and have had no problems with them since, but you will have to do your own research and decide where you want to buy it from.
In my opinion, you should always use a PCT after a cycle of SARMs. While it certainly isn’t 100% necessary, it is best to be safe. PCT, or post cycle therapy, is simply meant to get your testosterone and estrogen levels back on track after the cycle.
I took my PCT from Red Supplements, but you can do your own research and decide which you think is best for you.
Now, let’s move onto our next SARM: Ligandrol. Otherwise known as LGD-4033, Ligandrol is another popular SARM which users are taking to shred fat, build muscle, and get that “cut and dry” look that everyone think is so incredibly sexy.
Using Ligandrol, users can expect to put on a hefty amount of muscle, from 5-10 pounds, in just a few months. They can also use it to shred fat, ranging anywhere from 5-10 pounds of fat in just three months or less.
But, just what is Ligandrol? Let’s get into more detail here.
As I said previously, my SARMs cycle of Ostarine, Cardarine, and Ligandrol was absolutely amazing. Not only did I put on 18 pounds of muscle, but I also lost 7 pounds of fat. I highly recommend this cycle for anyone trying to transform their physique.
I noticed the “cut and dry” look near the end of the cycle, but perhaps that was just due to the fact that I had put on a little bit of weight before the cycle. I ended up dropping down to 7.9% bodyfat by the end, which is extremely lean.
Most users recommend you take 10mg of Ligandrol to start, and slowly work your way up to 20mg/day if you tolerate it well. Although more research definitely needs to be done, all of the preliminary studies show that when you take Ligandrol at a safe dosage of 10mg-20mg, it is very well tolerated.
I personally took 10mg of Ligandrol per day, and experienced almost no side effects, which brings me to the next important question.
Ligandrol Side Effects
Ligandrol isn’t known for causing many of the traditional side effects that steroids cause, such as gynecomastia or acne, but you do have to be careful. Some research shows it can temporarily increase levels of bad cholesterol, and decrease good levels.
I recommend taking a supplement such as Red Yeast Rice, and potentially some Niacin, to counteract these effects. I used to have very high cholesterol, and this is what I did to keep my cholesterol levels healthy on Ligandrol.
Similar to Ostarine and other SARMs, I recommend you take a PCT afterwards. While it isn’t 100% necessary, it’s always good to err on the side of caution, and to stay safe. I personally bought my PCT from Red Supplements (I used RED PCT 2.0), but you can use whatever you like.
The important thing is to make sure your PCT has good, testosterone boosting ingredients. You can read some further PCT reviews online, and look at what the research shows, to make your own educated decision.
Ostarine vs. Ligandrol: The Final Verdict
In short, Ostarine is better for building muscle and strength, whereas Ligandrol is better for making your muscles pop, and getting shredded. To be fair, you can absolutely take both at the same time (called a SARMs cycle or stack), but it’s up to you.
I experienced incredible results from taking both Ostarine and Ligandrol at the same time, and for anyone who wants to completely transform their physique, I would highly consider looking into this common and very effective, specific cycle of SARMs.
Of course, always be sure to consult with a medical healthcare practitioner. Do your own research, ask questions for yourself, look into the Ostarine and Ligandrol results on your own, and be responsible above all else!
